On Monday, Year Four made a visit to the top of Rivington Pike, a beauty spot near Bolton. They spent almost two hours on the walk up to the peak, which is 1,191 feet high. After eating lunch next to the tower they navigated the tricky walk through the woodlands, Japanese garden and steep pathways. There were a few tired legs by the end, but each and every one felt that they had achieved when at the peak - “I’m on top of the world!” was quoted from the top. Mr Mitchell was very proud of the children’s achievements and looking forward to their next challenging adventure. This is the first of Year 4’s Pastoral Peaks. Each class has six experiences across the year of varying difficulty. Look out for an update on your child’s next adventure on class dojo or speak to your child’s teacher.
